Work at Heights for Data Hall Fit-Out
Cable tray, ladder rack, busway and lighting all sit overhead, so fit-out crews spend their day on ladders and lifts above live racks. AAAT3 plans and manages work at heights so nobody falls and nothing drops onto people or equipment.
- Ladder safety
- Scissor & boom lifts
- Falling object control
- Fall protection plans
- Lift operator training

Common questions
Why are ladders such a big risk?
Ladders are involved in most construction fall injuries treated in emergency rooms. Fit-out crews use them all day, often for tasks that need both hands.
Do lift operators need training?
Yes. OSHA requires training for aerial lift operators, and ANSI A92 requires training and familiarization on each lift type.
Can lifts be used on raised floors?
Only after checking the floor rating and the lift’s point loads. We check this before lifts go onto raised floors.
How do you control falling objects over live racks?
Tool lanyards, barricaded drop zones, material staging rules and covers or netting where needed.
Can AAAT3 oversee our fit-out crews?
Yes. We audit heights work daily across the data halls and report findings to the GC and owner.
