Data hall quality control

Rack, Containment & Cabling QC

A data hall is only finished when every rack, aisle and cable matches the design and the client signs off. AAAT3 runs quality control for rack setting, containment and cabling so rooms pass acceptance the first time.

  • Rack setting & anchoring
  • Hot & cold aisle containment
  • Cable pathway QC
  • Labeling checks
  • Room acceptance

What’s included

Quality checks that pass acceptance

How it works

From empty room to accepted hall

Layout

Rack positions checked.

Set

Anchoring, level and bonding.

Contain

Aisle containment installed.

Cable

Pathways, dressing and labels.

Pre-walk

QC walk and punch list.

Accept

Client walk and sign off.

Rule of thumb: walk every room yourself before the client does. If you find it, it is a punch item. If they find it, it is a delay.

FAQ

Common questions

What do you check in a data hall QC walk?

Rack layout, anchoring and bonding, containment fit, cable pathways and dressing, labels and test results, all against the drawings and specs.

Why does containment matter?

Gaps let hot and cold air mix, which wastes cooling and can cause hot spots. Clients often test containment before acceptance.

Can AAAT3 manage our punch list?

Yes. We track every item with an owner, date and photo until it is closed.

Do you review cabling test results?

Yes. We check OTDR, loss and copper results and labels against the spec before turnover.

Do you provide QC managers?

Yes. AAAT3 provides USACE CQM certified QC managers for federal and hyperscale projects.
