Data Center Operations Safety Programs

Facility technicians work around high voltage, batteries, chemicals and heavy gear every shift. AAAT3 builds and manages operations safety programs, from NFPA 70E for technicians to contractor permits, so the people running the building go home safe.

  • NFPA 70E for operations
  • Permit to work
  • Contractor safety
  • Battery & chemical safety

FAQ

Common questions

Do data center operations follow construction or general industry rules?

Day to day operations generally fall under OSHA general industry standards (29 CFR 1910), while construction work in the building follows 29 CFR 1926.

What is a permit to work?

A written approval for higher risk tasks, like electrical work, hot work or confined space entry, that confirms hazards are controlled before work starts.

Do operations technicians need NFPA 70E training?

Yes, if they work on or near energized equipment. Training must be refreshed at least every 3 years.

Can AAAT3 manage our safety program?

Yes. We manage programs, training, inspections and records month to month.

Can you align our program to ISO 45001?

Yes. We structure programs to ISO 45001 for certification or client requirements.
